    Abstract. The article shows the chemical features of different kinds of peatswhich were form at the mires of Tula region. The differences between euthrophic

    and mesothrophic peats by degree of decomposition, moisture, acidity, contentand composition of ash, composition of the organic matter were done. Theseparameters depend on vegetation and hydrological regime of mires.
