METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES OF ENSURING ENVIRONMENTAL
SAFETY IN THE USE OF SUBSOIL
Abstract. Using the example of the mining facilities work regarding granite mining and
processing, a comparative analysis was conducted, comparing the results of model (calculation)
and natural researches of subsurface management influence on the ecological state of the
natural environment. The calculation method (while using the program UPRSA Ecolog)
provided the data for the near surface concentration of the atmospheric pollution substances,
contained in the enterprise exhaust. Natural researches were based on determining the general
biological activity of soil in the area of the enterprise impact, on snow- and lihen-indication, on
the chemical analysis of the plant and soil content, on the evaluation of the phytocenosis change
under the conditions of the atmospheric pollution. Based on the analysis of the obtained data a
conclusion was made, featuring a low effectiveness of the calculation method for the mining
management safety security.
