    ***This slide and the next slide introduce the codes used on the Time Series display.Note that the codes in Blue Italics are not used by DRP. The codes -FWO and -PWO are demand coming from parent work orders. Therefore, they are usually seen on component items only. More will be discussed in the MRP chapter. The code -ID is a multi-plant demand. This is discussed in the Multi-Plant chapter. These codes are difficult for students to remember at first glance. It is highly recommended that this slide be made into a flipchart. The flipcart should remain in the classroom from this introduction until the end of class. Flipcharts are an excellent learning reinforcement tool. Students viewing this chart throughout the class will retain these codes and make the time series a more highly appreciated tool. A flipchart can also be an aid for new instructors. Use the flipchart as a cue[, ] card to remember these codes.*This slide does not need to be made into a flipchart.Simply point out that the U at the end of the code indicated unadjusted.
