Este anlisis es importante para realizar el control del tirante de escurrimiento.Si la v &lt; v critica, el escurrimiento es subcrtico.Si la v &gt; v critica, el escurrimiento es supercrtico.subcriticosupercriticoEn caso de que el flujo sea subcrtico se deben cumplir las condiciones de tirante mnimoestablecidas en el Captulo 3 seccin 3.6.3. Si se presenta un flujo supercrtico, cumplir conla condicin del tirante mximo indicadas en la seccin 4.10.1, inciso c.3.6.3 Las lminas de agua (tirantes) deben ser siempre calculados admitiendo que el escurrimiento es dergimen uniforme y permanente, siendo su valor mximo, para caudal final, menor o igual a 0.75 deldimetro, para alcantarillado sanitario, y 0.80 del dimetro para alcantarillado pluvial.4.10.1 Si la velocidad final alcanza los 5 m/s y se comprueba que es mayor a la velocidad crtica,podra provocar la ocurrencia de un resalto hidrulico en las aguas residuales.
