Specifically, one may refer to the material and immaterial culture based on accounts that have survived to this day. Folk culture includes a variety of activities: traditional dance and folk music, embroidery, textile and silk production, architecture, woodcarving, basket weaving, pottery making, folk poetry, and silversmithing). All the above comprise the core of Cypriot tradition and bear testimony of the inner world and character of the Cypriot people. The river Klarios or Karkotis which crosses the village gives Evrychou a wonderful climate that makes the village an enchanting destination for everyone, both in winter and summer. It is the main village in the wider region of Solia and since the ancient times Evrychou plays an important role in the wider area.In Evrychou one can visit the Church of Saint George built in 1886 a church that is famous for its hagiographies. Moreover one can visit the church of saint Marina built in 1872 which can be found in the center of the village. Worth mentioning is the chapel of Osios Kyriakos, a local saint. The church has a wooden basilica which ages more than 500 years and also hagiographies that date back to the 16th or 15th century. Visit Evrychou and get to know the history of this village. Lastly another must see is the Milos of Stilis built in 1878, which functioned as flour mill and the Cyprus Government Railway, which operated for 46 years in the village and was associated with major events of the modern history of Cyprus. It is undutful that Evrychou is the jewel of Solia area, a village that perfectly combines the present and the glorious past. </p><p>8</p><p>In Evrichou village Mr Demetris from Thesaloniki along with his wife Mrs Agni make soaps and creams based on virgin olive oil of their own production. The couple also makes products enriched with fruits, vegetables, herbs essential oils, lavender, honey, rose oil, almond oil and Shea butter which are widely known for their beneficial qualities. One can visit the couple in Evrichou village or in their shop in Nicosia , have a chat with them, consult them and learn from firsthand about the many beneficial qualities of their products.</p><p> , . , . , . . , , , . , , , aloe vera , , , . . The need for a butchers shop in the </p><p>village but also his love for his community led </p><p>him to open a shop and become the villages butcher.</p><p>Since then his butcher shop became famous all over world for the </p><p>excellent quality of products ,delicious taste and the careful selection of local meats. In 1990 the butchers shop be-came even more famous since Mr Louis started producing deli products such as wine sausages, pastourmas , wine lount-za, and of course Shieftalies all made with pure ingredients care and love. In 1998 his Son Neophytos along with his wife take over the shop with ultimate goal to stand worthy of the rich tradition left by mr Andreas. ISO 22000. . , </p><p> . </p><p>.:22758813/14 , 94 , 2682 , Email: elenapaximadia@cytanet.com.cy</p></li><li><p>Round &amp; Round I </p><p>St. John ( Agios Ioannis) is a beautiful, graphic village of the Limassol district, built upon a rough slope on the foot-hill of Papoutsa, The village took its name from St. John to lampadisti (the torch bearer) who, according to tradition, passed by and stayed for a while in the village The old traditional houses with the tiled roofs, the picturesque upper floors ridden with flowerpots and flowers, the folkloristic courtyard walls, the vines in front of the houses, and the narrow ascending alleys are the main characteristics of the village.There are various churches and chap-els in the village. The old church of the village is dedicated to Archangel Mi-chael, who is considered as the patron Saint of the community. The construc-tion of the church started in 1709 and it was completed in 1757. The new church was also dedicated to Archan-gel Michael and it was established in 1921. Archaeological discoveries and remnants found in the community testify how deep the roots of this village are. In the village centre, there is the main Church of Pla-tanistasa built in 19th century and it is dedicated to the Archangel Michael. Also worth visiting are the Church of saint Ioan-nis Theologos and the chapel of Pa-nayia Katafigiotissa. Moreover another must see is the Byzantine Temple of the holy cross built in 817 AD. One can get impor-tant information about the different oc-cupations of the residents from the Folk art museum. The museum is housed in the olive-oil press space. The Museum in-cludes objects from the olive-oil press, as well as daily usage objects such as cook-ing utensils, a loom, agricultural tools and grape corves.
